Spirometry
Spirometry or better known as Lung Function Testing is a very specialized test done through means of sensitive technique mainly to determine the effects long term exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, solvents and or other types of inhalant causing damage to the lungs. An expert in spirometry can effectively compare the effects of nicotine smoking to that of industrial exposure.
Audiometry
The audiometrist uses the sound proof audiometry system to examine the percentage loss of hearing of an individual exposed to a noise level of over 85dB. Once the PLH is 10 and over, the individual is then referred for a diagnostic audiometry. Most of such cases get compensated.
Physical Examination
A (Physical Examination) standard medical examination is done prior to all of the above as a baseline including:- Height, Weight, BMI, Orthoscopic Examination, Blood Pressure, Urinalysis.
Vision Screening
To determine visual defects we will conduct a vision screening test and examine the eye. The aforementioned takes approximately 5 minutes and an a Snellen Chart Is utilized to perform the screenings.
